Job Description

Overview:

Assist with the development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of several databases used by the worlds leading asset managers. Responsible for maintaining database integrity and performance, troubleshooting problems, and providing information to internal product teams. Contribute to the effort to further automate data ingestion, transformation, deployment, and reporting functions.

Shift hours : 11 AM to 8 PM OR 12 PM to 9 PM IST

Responsibilities:

Review, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain financial databases
Create and maintain existing ETL processes and work on improving automation
Write code for database modifications and constructions including schemas, stored procedures, views, user defined functions and triggers
Optimize tables and stored procedures where necessary
Troubleshoot data errors and coordinate between business users and data teams located across our global offices
Perform ad-hoc data analysis using product, client, and third-party data
Enhance and maintain C#/Java data collection and research applications
Implement web applications and frameworks to support data ingestion

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 8+ years of programming experience in a non-academic environment in Oracle (PLSQL) and Java or .NET/C#
Very strong database design, development and analysis skills
Ability to get to the core of problems/issues
Comfortable working with partial or incomplete information
Experience of troubleshooting code written by other developers
Experience developing reliable and efficient data pipeline solutions
Experience with GIT and Data Analysis
Good understanding of SOLID, DRY and KISS principles
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as within small teams
Positive and collaborative attitude along with a willingness to learn.
