The Information Security team has the herculean task of assuring that customers can safely shop with peace of mind knowing their data and information will be safe and secure. Solving some of the most unique cyber security problems in the industry, our team members share an elevated level of creativity and ingenuity to secure data for the largest retail operation in the world. This team is responsible for building security services, tools, automation workflows, and scalable solutions that support the entire Walmart ecosystem. What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions within the Information Security domain
- Build and maintain Service Portal components, custom applications, Widgets, Script Include, UI policies, business rules, and workflows
- Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow and internal systems using REST/SOAP APIs and integration frameworks
- Develop secure and scalable backend services with experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Relational Databases
- Collaborate with product managers, security architects, and engineering teams to deliver secure and compliant solutions
- Ensure secure coding practices and adherence to enterprise security standards
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and best practices for enterprise-wide consumption
- Support production systems including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices for ServiceNow and related applications
- Continuously evaluate and improve platform security, performance, and scalability
What you'll bring:
- BE/Btech/MS/Mtech degree in Computer Science with 610+ years of overall software engineering experience
- 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with strong expertise in:
- Service Portal development
- Custom applications and scoped applications
- Widgets (AngularJS-based)
- Client scripts, business rules, UI policies, flows, workflow editor
- IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP integrations
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model and platform architecture
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong JavaScript development skills
- Experience working with RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and writing optimized SQL queries
- Good understanding of backend system integration patterns
- Familiarity with secure development practices and SDLC integration
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Additional Skills:
- Strong experience in Java development
- Experience with Spring Boot and backend microservices development
- Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and distributed systems
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or GCP preferred)
