Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designing and Building RESTful API endpoints and asynchronous events to implement business logic
  • Building reusable code and libraries to be leveraged across our team and technology stack
  • Solid experience working with event driven architecture in cloud preferably AWS
  • Collaborating and communicating thoughtfully with team members through design review, code review, and day-to-day collaboration
  • SQL writing store procedures/ statements pulling data from thousands of transactions - need to understand tables and databases

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or Master) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing backend processed, APIs with Node.js
  • Experience with Express.js, Typescript
  • Hands-on experience working on AWS cloud platform
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries and understanding of DB schema
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with version control systems such as Gitlab
  • Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Github actions
  • Experience working in Unix, linux environments
  • Experience with Scripting languages (Shell scripts, groovy)
  • Experience with Database (RDS and Document Db)
  • Understanding the UML designs and Data model design
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • Proven expert in design, architecture, and development of microservice applications
  • Proven writing unit test cases using Jest
  • Proven desire to grow as an engineer through collaboration, code reviews, and learning new languages/technologies
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven excellent problem-solving and communication skill

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Proven exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, etc.
