Catalog Engineer JD:Software Discovery SpecialistHCL Software was launched as a new division of HCL Technologies in 2016 with the mission to develop and deliver a next-generation portfolio of enterprise-grade software-based offerings with flexible consumption models, spanning on premise software, SaaS and managed services. We are currently looking for Software Discovery Specialists (Senior Software Engineer) for the BigFix Inventory product team in Bengaluru, located at Jigani Business Campus. As a Software Discovery Specialist, you will be responsible for: Creating additional content to extend functions of BigFix Inventory Catalog, in particular in a field of software identificationcontributing to innovative projects, new product enhancements contributing to any process improvements to maximize the team s productivity Troubleshooting and resolving products issues reported by customers in the field. Expanding test automation framework.Troubleshooting and resolving plethora of technical issues, customer configurations.Develop skills on exposure to solution definition/implementation along with coordination and tasks assignments with the team.Required Technical SkillsOverall 5+ years of experience as Software Developer using Java as programming language.4+ years of experience and Good Knowledge of backend Database (Either SQL/Oracle). (Able to write complex queries and experience with RDBMS (relational database management system)). 3 to 5 years of experience in using Object-Oriented Programming and principles and good knowledge of it.1+ years of experience in Python programing2-3 years of experience with ecosystem of development tools including automated build and continuous integration.Working comfortably with distributed version control systems and project management tools.Strong analytical ability and root cause analysis experience.Good knowledge of Shell scripting & regular expressions.Effective communication and articulation skills.Be able to analyze different sets of information and find a patternKnowledge of UNIX & Windows operating systems at least on user levelAbility to install and configure advanced systems and complex enterprise software Nice to Have Technical Skills Ability to create algorithmsPython or any Object-oriented programmingExposure Cloud programming/Cloud ComputingExposure Artificial Intelligence /Natural Language ProcessingRequired Soft SkillsFluent written and spoken EnglishDedicated to continual self-improvementGood team player Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams Good written and verbal communications skills Be organized at workBe adaptable and want to learn quickly new thingsCuriosityRemote WorkDuring pandemic, remote work is the only available option.
