Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of complex software systems and features spanning multiple services and components, establishing technical direction for the domain area including API design standards, data modeling approaches, and integration patterns while ensuring solutions meet scalability, reliability, and performance requirements. You will drive technical decisions with broad impact across multiple teams including architecture patterns and technology selections, conduct high-impact code reviews focusing on system design and long-term maintainability, and establish engineering standards and best practices adopted across the domain including testing strategies and deployment procedures. You will mentor engineers at multiple levels providing guidance on advanced technical concepts and career development, partner with product and business stakeholders on technical strategy and roadmap planning and represent engineering perspective in cross-functional initiatives while leading incident response for critical production issues.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skillsets: Work Experience 8-12 years

• Play an active technical expert role in end-to-end product development from design to deployment. working on moderately complex to highly complex work tasks or project assignments.
• Gathers, analyzes, and translates business and non-functional requirements into a solution design. May lead meetings to define business requirements, technical solutions and estimates.
• Designs, develops to specifications, maintains application code and technical documentations
• Responsible for software development life cycle from implementation to testing and automated production deployment and maintenance.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers of the team.
• Provides technical assistance and problem resolution for assigned systems. Leads resolution of production support incidents in accordance with incident management policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
• Minimum 6 years of work experience in designing, developing, and implementing computer software projects in a web and micro services-based environment.
• Experience in OO design patterns and coding – in Python, Java and AWS Microservice.
• Experience in Python based Web frameworks – like Django / Flask.
• Experience in AWS Services (AWS Docker ECS, AWS Application load balancer, S3), programming APIs and AWS microservices, Soap/Restful APIs, Database and SQL
• Experience in Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Grafana & Splunk etc.
• Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and evolving the cloud infrastructure of web applications.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Service Now ticketing.
