Role Overview
A Senior Software Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for designing scalable, maintainable systems and driving high-impact technical initiatives across frontend, backend, and data layers. This role requires strong architectural ownership, cross-team technical leadership, and accountability for system reliability, performance, and long-term evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and conduct system design for assigned features and initiatives.
- Architect and deliver large, cross-layer solutions spanning UI, APIs, and data systems.
- Ensure systems are scalable to handle significant load growth without performance degradation.
- Drive adherence to architecture and design standards across projects.
- Lead cross-service technical initiatives with milestone accountability.
- Review merge requests with high-quality, actionable feedback.
- Proactively identify systemic bottlenecks and implement structural improvements.
- Propose and implement technical improvements and technical debt fixes.
- Lead root-cause analysis for major production issues and prevent recurrence.
- Mentor engineers and ensure measurable growth in technical capability.
- Lead technical discussions and clearly articulate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks across teams and stakeholders.
Technical Requirements
- 610 years of software development experience.
- Strong backend expertise in Java and SpringBoot.
- Strong frontend expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript.
- Proven experience designing scalable RESTful services and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, RDBMS optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience debugging and optimizing across UI, API, and database layers.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-service technical initiatives.
- Strong grasp of system design principles, trade-offs, and performance engineering.
