Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

Sense is seeking a Senior or Lead Frontend Engineer to deliver our contractor communication platform to the world's best places to work.

As a Frontend Engineer at Sense, you'll be intimately involved with bringing features from idea to completion, and mentoring an incredibly talented group of peers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing development and upkeep of our design system
• Provide product ownership and mentor a team of talented Frontend Engineers
• Build and maintain crisp, consistent interfaces for our customers
• Lead code reviews, pairing sessions, and architecture discussions
• Responsibility for several large-scale ReactJS web applications
• Work closely with our cross-functional teams consisting of designers, product managers, and QA in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Implement and maintain features such as Chat interfaces and data visualisations
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Participate in interviews and hiring as we staff up our team

Qualification

• Demonstrated ownership of the product and mentoring other Frontend Engineers
• 3 to 6 years of professional Javascript development experience
• Experience in creating modern web UIs with React and Redux
• Experience developing websites consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system
• Experience writing testable code and maintaining test infrastructure
• Exceptional coding, debugging, and architecting skills, with an eye for maintainability, reliability, and performance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with TypeScript

Experience with WebSockets

Experience with Canvas, SVG, or animation

Experience in a high growth startup environment
