JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a broad array of talented software engineers to build amazing software that will transform the Ford Service Reservation(FSR)into the standardfor providing an excellent digital experience for Service appointments for vehicles. Innovate, problem-solve, and build new features and exciting capabilities to support launches of customer-centric features.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a broad array of talented software engineers to build amazing software that will transform FSR into the standardfor providing an excellent digital experience for Service appointments for vehicles. Innovate, problem-solve, and build new features and exciting capabilities to support launches of customer-centric features.

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers to design and develop full-stack solutions for FSR so that it stays always relevant serving global customers
  • Build high-quality, secure, and scalable services and user experiences that set the standard for digital service appointments and dealer interactions.
  • Work iteratively in an agile environment, using rapid feedback from users and stakeholders to refine features and improve product outcomes.
  • Apply and advocate modern engineering practices such as TDD, continuous refactoring, code reviews, and CI/CD automation for reliable delivery.
  • Contribute to astrongengineering culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring team members, and helping evolve team norms and ways of working.
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the transformation of automotive and mobility experiences.
  • Work in an open, collaborative environment with opportunities to learn new technologies (cloud, micro services, DevOps) and grow your technical influence.
  • Help define, foster, and advance your team's culture, engineering standards, and best practices within the India organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in the Indian technology ecosystem.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience practicing and advocating clean code principles, including test-driven development, self-documenting code, continuous refactoring, and Extreme Programming.
  • 7+ years of experience in front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript with proficiency in frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • 7+ years of meaningful back-end development experience using frameworks and languages like Nest.js, GoLang API development, and Spring Boot, with strong API design skills.
  • Strong understanding of full-stack architecture, software design patterns including microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture and integration with cloud-native platforms.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices using tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, or GitHub Actions, along with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) on public cloud providers like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf to boost productivity and code quality.
  • Self Starter and have keen interest of problem solving
  • A desire to collaborate closely with UI/UX Designers and product team

Even Better, You'll Have

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field OR a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Experience with web and mobile accessibility standards (WCAG compliance), tools, and testing (e.g. screen-readers, axe, user interviews)
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development
  • Have skillset of leading a team and bringing along the junior engineers
  • Mechanical and engineering empathy
  • Knowledge of Dealer Management System Integration
