Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are a seed-funded startup focused on using state-of-the-art AI technologies to revolutionize the credit industry. Our team consists of experts in machine learning and software engineers who have worked at top-tier US tech companies like Apple, etc , and we are passionate about using AI to improve access to credit information and due diligence for businesses. We have the product on the market, the first clients, and sufficient runway.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Full Stack technologies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion dedicated to backend development (AWS/Python/Typescript).

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Build, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python/Typescript. Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of our data services.
• Exposure to Frontend: Develop and review Typescript/React code and pay adherence to the design system.
• API Development: Design and implement APIs that enable seamless data retrieval and manipulation for frontend applications.
• Collaboration and Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with other software systems and solutions within the company.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.
• Code Quality: Maintain high code standards, write clean, well-documented, and testable code, and contribute to code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4-6+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Python/Typescript.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
