Job Objective
The Senior Software Developer Python will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable digital applications. The role includes mentoring the development team, ensuring high code quality, enforcing security and compliance standards, and aligning development practices with long-term organizational strategies. The position focuses on delivering innovative, future-ready solutions that modernize government operations and improve citizen access to digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Architect and implement robust RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Lead integration efforts with frontend applications, external systems, and third-party APIs.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and quality guidelines through code reviews and automated testing.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and agile development cycles.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team.
- Ensure implementation aligns with government IT standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including ORM usage and query optimization.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and background task management.
- Experience in API integration with third-party services and microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Strong understanding of Git-based version control systems.

Education & Experience
Educational Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or
- Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent domain
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer, with strong expertise in Python development.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working on Government sector IT projects in India.
- Familiarity with Government IT standards, compliance, and security frameworks.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and container-based deployments.
- Certifications in Python, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
