One of our clients is looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer based in India, who can work U.S. Eastern Time (EST) hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in end-to-end data engineering and Snowflake development.
- Expert in Snowflake native features: Snow pipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Secure Data Sharing.
- Skilled in designing scalable ELT pipelines, advanced SQL/Python development, and dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake).
- Experienced in analyzing file formats (Parquet, ORC, Avro, JSON, CSV) and recommending performance/storage best practices.
- Strong in cost/performance optimization, handling semi-structured data, and compute/storage tuning in Snowflake.
- Azure cloud experience is preferred, along with integration using DBT, Airflow, and other modern data tools.
- Hands-on experience with Stream lit familiarity with Snowflake Container Services is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Snowflake security best practices including RBAC, data masking, access control, and data encryption.
- Experience with monitoring Snowflake performance using Resource Monitors, Query Profiling, and usage analytics.
- Snowflake and Azure certifications are preferred (not mandatory), and must excel in architecture, debugging, and data strategy.
