Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and operate modern
cloud-native platforms as part of a large-scale transformation from traditional on-premise systems to
scalable, resilient cloud architectures.
This role involves close collaboration with engineering, architecture, and product teams to establish
DevOps/SRE best practices, enable
high availability, and ensure
reliable, secure, and automated delivery of microservices-based applications across
AWS and/or Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms across public and hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop, deploy, and support CI/CD pipelines for microservices and SOA-based applications.
- Provision, manage, and maintain Kubernetes / OpenShift clusters, including deployments, namespaces, and lifecycle management.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments using scripts and pipeline tooling.
- Define and promote SRE standards for reliability, scalability, security, and observability.
- Partner with development and architecture teams to influence cloud and application design decisions.
- Support monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability to meet SLAs and SLOs.
- Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on DevOps, SRE, and continuous delivery best practices.
- Ensure smooth transition from development to production operations.
Must-Have Skill Set (Mandatory)
- Cloud Platforms:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS or Azure (8+ years)
- Azure migration experience is a plus
- Containerization & Orchestration:
- Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift (8+ years)
- CI/CD & DevOps Tools:
- Jenkins or CircleCI
- Git
- Maven / Ant
- JIRA
- Scripting & Automation:
- Proficiency in Shell, Python, Perl, Ruby, or JavaScript
- DevOps / SRE Experience:
- 8+ years in DevOps / SRE roles, including leadership or SME responsibilities
- Networking Fundamentals:
- DNS, NAT, routing, firewalls
- Ways of Working:
- Experience supporting Agile and product development teams
- Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
