Job Description

We are hiring for the position of Senior Site Engineer AGL & Other Airside Lighting Systems for multiple upcoming airport projects across Pan India. The Senior Site Engineer AGL (Airfield Ground Lighting) & Other Airside Lighting Systems will be responsible for supervising and managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of airfield lighting infrastructure that supports safe aircraft movement and airport operations.

This includes systems such as runway lighting, taxiway lighting, approach lighting systems, apron floodlighting, guidance signage lighting, and associated electrical infrastructure. The role ensures that installation and integration of lighting systems are carried out in accordance with approved designs, aviation standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day installation activities related to Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) and other airside lighting systems.
  • Ensure installation of runway lights, taxiway lights, approach lighting systems, apron floodlighting, and guidance signage lighting as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with electrical contractors, consultants, and airside infrastructure teams for smooth execution of AGL works.
  • Monitor installation of associated infrastructure including ducts, pits, cable routing, CCR rooms, transformers, and control systems.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and method statements for AGL and lighting systems before implementation.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with aviation standards, quality requirements, and electrical safety regulations.
  • Monitor testing and commissioning activities for AGL systems including circuit testing, photometric alignment, and control system integration.
  • Ensure proper documentation of installation records, inspection reports, and testing results.
  • Coordinate with airside operations and engineering teams to minimize disruptions during installation and commissioning.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within defined project timelines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at the construction site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in installation and supervision of electrical or airfield lighting systems in infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, runway and taxiway lighting, apron lighting, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, lighting systems, and testing & commissioning procedures.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, BOQs, and electrical project documentation.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and relevant aviation or infrastructure codes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools.

  • Experience working on airport airside infrastructure projects and AGL systems.
  • Familiarity with international and national aviation standards for airfield lighting systems.
  • Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, airside pavement, and electrical engineers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills during installation and commissioning stages.
  • High attention to safety, quality, and operational reliability of airfield lighting systems.
