Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate simulation-based engineering problems with clear constraints and optimization goals
- Develop complete problem sets, including:
- Reference solutions
- Near-miss scenarios
- Edge cases
- Detailed documentation
- Ensure appropriate complexity with multiple failure modes
- Collaborate with research teams to refine problems based on model performance
Domain Expertise (Any One Required)
- Electrical & Computer Engineering: Analog/mixed-signal IC, power electronics, RF, FPGA/ASIC, embedded systems
- Mechanical Engineering: Thermal/structural/fluids, HVAC, manufacturing design
- Chemical Engineering: Process design, reactors, separations, thermochemistry
- Control Systems: Classical/modern control, system identification, nonlinear control
- Materials / Nano: Material selection, microstructure design, nanoscale devices
- Engineering Physics / Optics: Optical systems, photonics, lasers
- Aerospace Engineering: Aerodynamics, propulsion, flight dynamics
- Civil / Structural Engineering: Structural design, geotechnical, seismic/wind loading
- Nuclear / Energy: Reactor design, renewables, grid storage
- Systems Engineering: Architecture design, requirement decomposition
- Robotics: Kinematics, motion planning, mechatronics
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in a relevant engineering/applied science field
- 3+ years of hands-on design experience (not just analysis)
- Experience delivering validated engineering designs
- Proficiency in open-source simulation tools
- Strong Python (or equivalent scripting) skills
- High attention to:

- Physical realism
Nice to Have
- Experience creating engineering coursework or design challenges
- Familiarity with CI/CD or automated testing frameworks
- Exposure to AI/LLM evaluation or benchmarking
- Cross-domain expertise (Control Systems, Robotics, Power Systems)
