Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, customisation, and maintenance of advanced Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Own technical implementation of complex UI and UX requirements from Figma, ensuring consistency, performance, and scalability across devices.
- Architect and optimise storefront performance, accessibility, SEO fundamentals, and Core Web Vitals.
- Review pull requests, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality, maintainable code across projects.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and QA to scope work accurately and deliver reliably against timelines.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues with minimal disruption to live storefronts.
- Guide and mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical feedback.
- Contribute to technical documentation, internal tooling, and process improvements.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GraphQL.
- Deep understanding of Liquid, Shopify theme architecture, and storefront performance optimisation.
- Experience with Git, pull-request workflows, and leading collaborative development efforts.
- Comfortable translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a high standard for production-ready code.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other developers is a strong plus.
- Experience working on Headless Storefront is a strong plus.
