Role Overview (Summary)
We are looking for a Senior SEO / GEO Specialist to own search strategy and execution across
4–5 B2B SaaS clients. You will be responsible for driving measurable organic growth through both traditional
SEO and AI search optimization — ensuring our clients rank on Google and get cited by tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You will set the quality bar, lead client communication on all SEO matters, and help elevate the wider team's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Own end-to-end SEO delivery for 4–5 B2B SaaS accounts — audits, keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, and internal linking
- Develop content strategies and detailed briefs aligned to search intent and buyer funnel stage
- Drive technical SEO improvements in partnership with Dev (Core Web Vitals, site architecture, crawl efficiency)
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and SERP landscape reviews per account
Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)
- Build and execute AI search strategies to grow client brand citations in LLM-powered tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews)
- Optimise content for AI retrieval: structured data, E-E-A-T signals, entity-based frameworks, and answer-friendly formats
- Monitor and track AI citation presence using available tooling; report progress monthly
- Run prompt-testing experiments to evaluate client visibility in AI-generated responses
- Translate GEO learnings into repeatable playbooks for the team
Client Communication & Reporting
- Act as the primary SEO and GEO point of contact for assigned clients
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports with clear data narratives and forward-looking recommendations
- Translate technical SEO and AI search concepts into language non-technical stakeholders can act on
- Proactively flag risks and propose solutions before issues escalate
- Deliver at least one structured weekly insight per account: what changed, why it matters, what happens next
Quality, Documentation & Team
- Own QA for all deliverables — intent alignment, metadata, heading structure, internal links, structured data, and content quality
- Maintain clean task hygiene: tickets updated in real time, decisions documented, blockers escalated early
- Coordinate with Content Ops (briefs, revisions, publishing calendar) and Dev (technical implementations)
- Mentor junior SEO Specialists and contribute to internal SOPs and knowledge base
Experience Required
Must-Have
- 4+ years of SEO experience in a B2B SaaS agency or in-house environment
- Strong hands-on skills across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, keyword research, and content strategy
- Working knowledge of GEO / AI search optimisation — experience optimising for AI Overviews, Perplexity, or LLM citation is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio (or equivalent)
- Ability to manage 4–5 client accounts simultaneously without compromising quality
- Strong written communication — clear, concise, and client-ready
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with schema markup and structured data (FAQ, HowTo, Article, Product)
- Familiarity with entity-based SEO and knowledge graph principles
- Experience using AI Workflow tools (n8n, AirOps,...) for research, execution & automation
- Understanding of B2B SaaS metrics — MQLs, pipeline contribution, and how organic maps to revenue
- Prior experience mentoring or reviewing SEO team members

- Independently manages 4–5 B2B SaaS accounts with strong ownership, timely execution, and high-quality deliverables
- Drives measurable growth in organic visibility, qualified traffic, and conversion-focused keyword performance
- Successfully implements GEO strategies that improve client visibility and citations across AI search platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and AI Overviews
- Delivers clear, strategic, and client-ready reporting with actionable insights tied to business impact
- Collaborates effectively with Content Ops and Dev teams to execute content, technical SEO, and structured data initiatives
- Maintains high QA standards across all deliverables including metadata, internal linking, content structure, and search intent alignment
- Contributes to team growth through documentation, SOP improvements, experimentation, and mentorship of junior team members
