Role Summary

The Senior Security Solution Engineer is responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing enterprise-scale security solutions across data protection, cloud security, identity, and emerging security domains. The role brings strong hands-on technical expertise to ensure security controls are correctly designed, effectively implemented, and aligned with enterprise risk and architecture standards. This is a senior, engineering-focused role requiring deep technical knowledge, sound architectural understanding, and the ability to work closely with project teams, capability owners and vendors

Strategic Value

The Senior Security Solution Engineer role will ensure the solutions architecture is aligned with enterprise standards, correctly designed and implemented on time as per plan. By providing deep technical expertise, the role improves return on security investments and strengthens Diageo's overall security posture. The role also enables informed decision-making by clearly articulating solution options, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer enterprise security solutions aligned to architecture standards and risk requirements
• Works as hands-on technical engineer for configuration, integration, and validation of security controls
• Lead technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts for security solutions
• Produce clear solution architecture documents and implementation plan
• Work closely with engineering, cloud, identity, data, and SOC teams to support solution delivery
• Present solution designs and recommendations to stakeholders

Experience and Core Skills

• • Minimum 10 years experience in cybersecurity solution engineering role
  • Proven experience in designing, piloting and implementing security solutions in large enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on capability across Zero Trust principles, information protection, data security, cloud security, identity, and SaaS security domains
  • Experience working with enterprise security solutions which includes- MS and other third-party DLP, MS Purview information protection, MS purview suite of products, MDCA, MS Rights Management Solution, Insider Risk Management, CSPM solution (e.g- Wiz, Defender for Cloud apps), AI-SPM and DSPM Solution and fully conversant with leading upcoming security solutions across AI, cloud, identity & access management technologies
  • Decent solutioning and architectural knowledge in the SOC side specially response automation, CTI workflow, understanding of DevOps for SecOps.
  • Ability to clearly articulate solution outcomes, risks, and design decisions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
