A Brief Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Disaster Recovery Senior Security Analyst to join our Information Security Team. In this role, the Senior Analyst supports the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of TriNet's enterprise Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs. The role helps ensure the readiness and resilience of TriNet departments and office locations by coordinating planning activities, performing impact and risk analyses, and facilitating training and exercises. Acting as a subject matter resource to internal stakeholders, the Senior Analyst supports program governance and risk mitigation efforts that strengthen TriNet's ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Disaster Recovery lifecycle activities including Business Impact Analyses (BIA), risk assessments, strategy development, and ongoing plan updates to ensure the organization maintains a comprehensive, accurate, and actionable framework that reflects evolving business operations and potential threats.
  • Identify critical business functions, key dependencies, and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) through close partnership with internal teams, enabling effective prioritization of recovery strategies and resource allocation during disruptive events.
  • Maintain and continuously improve DR plans and documentation to meet internal standards, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices, ensuring all materials remain current, accessible, and aligned with organizational resilience objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute DR exercises, including tabletop simulations, functional tests, and employee training sessions, to validate preparedness, strengthen team capability, and enhance overall recovery effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver business continuity awareness programs tailored to employees and leadership, promoting a culture of resilience and ensuring stakeholders understand their roles during disruptions.
  • Document exercise outcomes and incident observations, highlight areas of improvement, identifying capability gaps, and partnering with accountable teams to support corrective actions and program enhancements.
  • Develop, track, and report on KPIs/KRIs that measure the health, maturity, and effectiveness of the continuity program, providing stakeholders with clear visibility into risk exposure and resilience readiness.
  • Manage enterprise call tree and emergency communication systems to ensure accurate contact data, reliable notification capabilities, and timely dissemination of critical information during events.
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments, providing required documentation, evidence, and subject-matter expertise to demonstrate program adequacy and continuous improvement.
  • Align DR requirements with thirdparty vendors, ensuring service providers meet organizational resilience expectations and can support recovery efforts when disruptions impact external dependencies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders during incidents, offering guidance and situational support to maintain essential operations, communicate effectively, and reduce the impact of interruptions.
  • Advise business units on continuity planning and risk mitigation, helping teams identify vulnerabilities, design practical recovery strategies, and strengthen overall operational resilience.
  • Perform other duties as needed, contributing to broader risk management, emergency preparedness, or organizational resilience initiatives as required.

Education Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in business continuity programs, BCP process engagement, or related BC/DR activities.
  • 5+ years of experience with developing / testing recovering strategies for cloud (IaaS / SaaS) based applications
  • 5+ years of experience with automation and orchestration tools for recovering applications at alternate locations

Skills And Abilities


  • Working knowledge of the Business Continuity Program Lifecycle (DRII model).
  • Proficiency with business continuity planning software and related systems.
  • Experience exercising, maintaining, documenting, or auditing DR plans.
  • Strong project management, facilitation, and leadership skills to coordinate cross functional initiatives.
  • Experience with Business Impact Analysis, risk assessment, and recovery strategy development.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management standards (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in security-related software applications and tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Availability and flexibility to respond to security incidents and emergencies outside of regular working hours, if required.

Licenses and Certifications


  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent industry certification required.
