Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Science Teacher (TGT) to teach students from Grade IV and above. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts. The teacher will use effective teaching strategies, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students academic and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Science lessons aligned with the school curriculum and academic standards.
- Develop students understanding of scientific concepts through experiments, demonstrations, and practical activities.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and critical thinking among students.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessments to support student learning.
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to address diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.
- Promote scientific curiosity, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators for curriculum planning and school initiatives.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development programs.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science (B.Sc / M.Sc) or related field.
- Teaching certification such as B.Ed. or equivalent is preferred.
- Additional certifications in STEM education or science teaching methodologies are an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 67 years of teaching experience as a TGT / Senior Science Teacher.
- Experience teaching upper primary or middle school students (Grade IV and above) is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Science curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Ability to encourage scientific curiosity and active learning among students.
