Job Description:
Bachelors/Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g. Engineering with 8 - 12 years work experience in Supply Chain consulting, systems development or architect role
Proven handson experience in SAP MM (required), exposure to SAP PP/QM desirable; experience with Ariba/Ivalua or other procurement platforms
Preferred: Masters in Business Administration or equivalent from a premier B-school, Lean Six Sigma certification and Lean understanding
Preferred: Experience in Manufacturing Organization
Roles and Responsibilities
Business partner: Act as the single digital SPOC for Sourcing & Procurement digital initiatives. Partner with the CPO, category leads, supplierfacing stakeholders and end users across direct & indirect procurement to translate business pain points into prioritized, outcomedriven digital requirements.
a.Drive the sourcing digital roadmap and business case: quantify ROI, prioritize features (cost savings, cycle time, supplier onboarding, availability of critical parts) and defend prioritization with IS PO and functional leaders.
b.Own stakeholder governance: represent sourcing at solution reviews, escalate business criticality to IS and ensure delivered scope meets the agreed acceptance criteria and business goals.
c.Measure and improve: own KPIs and dashboards (PO cycle time, PO automation %, supplier OTIF, invoice exception rate, supplier onboarding time, critical parts availability) and use data to drive continuous improvement.
Technology Evangelist: You will also be the evangelist for adoption of procurement platforms and digital tooling across sourcing.
a.Own functional design & documentation: author PRDs/functional specs, define data model/mappings for master data (supplier, material, contract), and specify API/EDI integration points to ERP (SAP MM/PP), procurement platforms, WMS/TMS and PLM where relevant.
b.Partner with other Information Systems/product teams to build a viable backlog, prioritize enhancements, and ensure solutions follow product development standards and secure, scalable integration patterns.
c.Lead acceptance activities: create test cases, run UAT, own cutover planning, manage hypercare and stabilisation post golive. Train and handhold end users to drive adoption and behaviour change.
d.Participate in triage & resolution of design, integration or production issues that impact sourcing continuity; ensure fixes are verified and deployed with minimal business disruption.
Process champion: You will also act as the process champion for sourcingfacing workflows: convert problem statements into lean, plantcompatible processes and system acceptance criteria.
What kind of experience & skills do you need for this role
Experience in Sourcing/Procurement transformation, systems delivery or supplychain product ownership, with demonstrable handson work in ProcuretoPay, Supplier Lifecycle Management, RFx/RFQ and Contract Lifecycle Management for direct and/or indirect materials.
Strong functional of SAP MM (required); familiarity with SAP PP and QM preferred. Proven superuser experience mapping ERP procurement flows to operational needs.
Experience with enterprise procurement platforms (Ariba / Ivalua or equivalent), CLM tools and supplier portals. Able to compare products and define fit/gap for sourcing processes.
Track record of owning endtoend delivery: PRD/functional spec authorship, data migration rules, UAT/test case design, cutover and hypercare; experience managing Systems Integrators / product vendors.
Strong analytical skills; comfortable validating dashboards or working with BI teams (Power BI / Tableau / SQL) to produce operational KPIs and business cases.
Working knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and experience collaborating with product owners, architects, developers and QA.
Ability to assess the need for a change from problem statements
