Job description SAP FICO (Techno functional)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP FICO Techno-Functional Consultant with a strong blend of technical expertise and functional knowledge across Finance and Controlling modules. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in SAP implementations, enhancements, and support initiatives, with a primary focus on delivering robust IT solutions rather than core finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support SAP FICO implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications
- Configure and customize SAP FICO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Month-End Close processes
- Collaborate closely with ABAP and development teams for custom developments, enhancements, reports, interfaces, and issue resolution
- Manage integration points with other SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, SD etc
- Work on SAP Fiori applications – design inputs, testing, and deployment to enhance user experience and process efficiency
- Participate in testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support deployment activities including cutover planning and hypercare
- Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, configuration guides, and technical specifications
- Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams across geographies
Required Skills:
- 6–8 years of experience in SAP FICO in a techno-functional capacity
- Strong technical understanding of SAP architecture and system landscape
- Proven experience in configuration, debugging, and system enhancements
- Working knowledge of ABAP (debugging level, ability to read and analyze code)
- Experience working in IT services or consulting environments
- Exposure to global delivery models and working with distributed teams across regions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage stakeholders and work in cross-functional environments
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Finance) implementations or migrations
- Hands-on exposure to SAP Fiori apps and UI5-based solutions
- SAP FICO certification (optional but desirable)
