Job summary:
The Senior ABAP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting advanced SAP technical solutions with deep expertise in ABAP programming. This role works closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into high-quality, scalable, and secure SAP solutions. The position requires hands-on experience in S/4HANA, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver within a global, agile environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Solution Design & Development
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
- Design, build, and implement complex SAP technical solutions.
- Customize and enhance SAP functionalities to meet evolving business needs.
- Develop RICEFW objects, APIs, integrations, OData services, CDS views, forms, and workflows.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documentation.
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization guidelines.
- Conduct peer code reviews and maintain strict transport management discipline.
ABAP Development & Support
- Perform advanced system analysis and provide technical support across SAP modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, logic, integration, and data quality.
- Execute data migration and conversion activities using LSMW, LTMC, BDC, BAPI, and related tools.
- Develop CDS views, OData services, and Fiori/UI5 components.
- Build enhancements using User Exits, BADIs, and enhancement points.
- Design, maintain, and optimize SmartForms and Adobe Forms.
- Build and support SAP and non-SAP integrations (IDocs, APIs, BAPIs, RFCs).
- Conduct unit testing and support SIT/UAT defect resolution.
- Support upgrade readiness, regression testing, and impact assessments for patches and releases.
Years of experience:
5 to 8 years of relevant experience
Educational Qualification & Certifications (Preferred):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP with SAP NetWeaver (preferred).
- SAP Certified Development Specialist ABAP for SAP HANA (preferred).
- Certifications in SAP S/4HANA Development or SAP Fiori/UI5 (advantageous).
- Additional certifications in SAP Integration Suite (CPI/BTP) are a plus.
