Job Description
We are looking for a
Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong experience in SAP S/4HANA and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing modern Fiori applications using RAP and CDS-based architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance ABAP applications in SAP S/4HANA
- Develop applications using ABAP RAP (Managed & Unmanaged scenarios)
- Create and optimize CDS Views, Behavior Definitions, and Service Bindings
- Develop OData services (V4 preferred) using RAP
- Work closely with SAP Fiori/UI5 developers and functional consultants
- Perform code optimization, performance tuning, and debugging
- Participate in technical design discussions and solution architecture
- Support integrations with BTP / External systems where required
- Ensure adherence to SAP clean core and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Proven experience in ABAP RAP (Mandatory)
- Expertise in:
- CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption)
- Behavior Definitions & Implementations
- Service Definitions & Bindings
- Experience with OData services (V2/V4)
- Good understanding of Fiori Elements
- Knowledge of AMDP, ABAP on HANA, and performance optimization
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Good To Have
- Experience with SAP BTP
- Knowledge of UI5 custom development
- Exposure to CI/CD and ABAP Git
- SAP ABAP / S/4HANA Certification
