Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute regional sales strategy for Industrial Automation Projects.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth in PLC, SCADA, DCS, Drives, Robotics, IIoT, and turnkey automation solutions.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and achieve revenue & margin targets.
2. Project Sales & Tendering
- Handle end-to-end project sales cycle from lead generation to project closure.
- Review RFQs, prepare techno-commercial proposals in coordination with engineering teams.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and customer technical discussions.
- Manage contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and risk assessment.
3. Key Account Management
- Build strong relationships with CXOs, Plant Heads, Purchase Heads, and Project Teams.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and guide regional sales engineers/managers.
- Set performance KPIs and monitor sales funnel progress.
- Coordinate with internal teams Design, Projects, Finance, and Service.
5. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging technologies.
- Identify new automation opportunities in Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory initiatives.
- Provide regular sales forecasting and MIS reports to management.
6. Commercial & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, commercial guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections.
Required Qualifications- BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics.
- MBA (Marketing) Preferred.
Experience & Skills- 15+ years of experience in Industrial Automation Sales.
- Minimum 5+ years in handling large turnkey project sales.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS, Drives, Panels, Robotics, and Control Systems.
- Experience in handling projects 10 Cr to 50+ Cr value range.
- Strong techno-commercial and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
