Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Sales Strategy
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategy for Industrial Automation Projects.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Drive revenue growth in PLC, SCADA, DCS, Drives, Robotics, IIoT, and turnkey automation solutions.
  • Prepare annual sales budgets and achieve revenue & margin targets.
2. Project Sales & Tendering
  • Handle end-to-end project sales cycle from lead generation to project closure.
  • Review RFQs, prepare techno-commercial proposals in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and customer technical discussions.
  • Manage contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and risk assessment.
3. Key Account Management
  • Build strong relationships with CXOs, Plant Heads, Purchase Heads, and Project Teams.
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and guide regional sales engineers/managers.
  • Set performance KPIs and monitor sales funnel progress.
  • Coordinate with internal teams Design, Projects, Finance, and Service.
5. Market Intelligence
  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify new automation opportunities in Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory initiatives.
  • Provide regular sales forecasting and MIS reports to management.
6. Commercial & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, commercial guidelines, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections.

Required Qualifications
  • BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics.
  • MBA (Marketing) Preferred.
Experience & Skills
  • 15+ years of experience in Industrial Automation Sales.
  • Minimum 5+ years in handling large turnkey project sales.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS, Drives, Panels, Robotics, and Control Systems.
  • Experience in handling projects 10 Cr to 50+ Cr value range.
  • Strong techno-commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
