About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced, strategic, and execution-focused Senior Retention Manager who can build and scale retention, CRM, and lifecycle revenue across our ecosystem of brands spanning spirituality, astrology, education, consultations, and commerce.

This is not a basic email or WhatsApp campaign role.

We want someone who deeply understands customer lifecycle, repeat behavior, conversion psychology, trust-led selling, cross-sell systems, reactivation, and retention-driven revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in D2C, app/user lifecycle, commerce retention, and subscription / repeat-led businesses, ideally in categories where customer trust, education, and relationship-building matter.

Our ecosystem includes multiple high-growth brands across astrology, spiritual commerce, education, consultations, and digital experiences.

The role requires someone who can understand different customer journeys across:

  • product purchase
  • consultation journeys
  • app engagement
  • course or learning journeys
  • repeat intent-based buying
  • festival or event-led buying cycles
  • cross-brand movement within the ecosystem

Role objective

Your core responsibility will be to increase:

  • repeat purchase rate
  • reactivation rate
  • customer LTV
  • CRM-attributed revenue
  • cross-sell and upsell revenue
  • app/user retention
  • lifecycle efficiency across brands

Key Responsibilities

  • Own retention, CRM, and lifecycle marketing strategy across the ecosystem
  • Build high-performing email, WhatsApp, SMS, push, and lifecycle journeys for different brands and customer segments
  • Design and optimize flows for welcome, abandon cart, browse abandon, post-purchase, repeat purchase, replenishment, upsell, win-back, churn prevention, dormant reactivation, and high-value/VIP users
  • Create segmentation based on purchase behavior, intent, frequency, product affinity, consultation history, lifecycle stage, and engagement level
  • Increase repeat purchase rate and LTV through well-designed customer journeys
  • Build cross-sell strategies across brands and categories where relevant
  • Work closely with product, performance marketing, design, content, tech, analytics, and category teams
  • Improve CRM-led revenue, attribution clarity, campaign performance, and automation depth
  • Build lifecycle systems for both commerce and app/user engagement
  • Track and optimize cohort retention, repeat intervals, churn patterns, reactivation behavior, and campaign contribution
  • Develop retention calendars around key festivals, spiritual occasions, seasonal demand, lifecycle triggers, and category moments
  • Own retention reporting and present weekly/monthly insights with action plans
  • Continuously test offers, messaging, timing, segmentation, journey logic, and channel mix

  • Someone who has handled lifecycle systems in serious D2C, app, commerce, or trust-led consumer businesses
  • Someone who understands that retention is a product, data, psychology, and automation problem together
  • Someone who can build systems, not depend on founder instructions every day
  • Someone comfortable with both strategy and execution

Requirements

  • Strong experience in retention, CRM, lifecycle marketing, or customer revenue growth roles
  • Proven experience in D2C, e-commerce, app businesses, digital consumer brands, or related lifecycle-heavy businesses
  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation, repeat purchase behavior, LTV growth, reactivation, and automation journeys
  • Hands-on experience with email, WhatsApp, SMS, push notifications, and CRM automation tools
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort with dashboards, cohorts, funnels, campaign data, and customer behavior metrics
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple brands and teams
  • Strong ownership mindset with commercial thinking

Strong preference for candidates who have

  • Worked in spirituality, astrology, wellness, education, consultations, subscription, or trust-led consumer businesses
  • Handled multi-brand ecosystems or complex customer journeys
  • Built retention systems for repeat-heavy product categories and app/user journeys
  • Improved repeat revenue, LTV, and CRM contribution meaningfully
  • Experience with cohort analysis, RFM segmentation, lifecycle triggers, and win-back systems

Bonus points if

  • You understand cross-brand lifecycle strategy
  • You have built retention systems for both products and services
  • You know how to connect content, commerce, consultation, and customer trust into one lifecycle engine
  • You have worked with brands where emotional buying and intention-led repeat behavior matter
