Role Summary - Senior Residents
As a Senior Resident, you will:
- Support faculty in delivering academic instruction to MBBS students.
- Gain extensive clinical exposure in a well-equipped, high-volume hospital.
- Participate in departmental teaching activities, ward rounds, OPDs, and procedural work.
- Assist in research, publications, and community outreach programs.
- Receive mentorship from experienced professors in your specialty.
- Develop skills in medical ethics, evidence-based medicine, and patient-centered care.
Department-Specific Focus
Senior Resident - General Medicine
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cases under supervision.
- Handle acute and chronic disease management.
- Participate in clinical discussions, case presentations, and diagnostic planning.
- Gain exposure in emergency medicine, critical care, and internal diagnostics.
Senior Resident - General Surgery
- Assist in elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Support surgical teaching for undergraduates.
- Engage in trauma management and OT protocols.
Senior Resident - Community Medicine
- Contribute to rural health surveys, community-based programs, and epidemiological research.
- Lead health awareness camps and field visits.
- Participate in teaching preventive and social medicine to MBBS students.
- Work with local PHCs and NGOs on public health initiatives.
Senior Resident - Radio Diagnosis
- Interpret X-rays, Ultrasound, CT, and MRI scans under faculty supervision.
- Work closely with clinical departments for diagnostic input.
- Support radiology-based teaching, case reporting, and interdepartmental conferences.
- Gain proficiency in PACS, reporting systems, and diagnostic workflows.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS + MD/MS/DNB in the respective specialty (completed or nearing completion)
- Registered with State Medical Council / NMC
- Good academic and clinical record
- Passion for medical education and community service
