Job Description

  • Clinical Training: You would receive extensive hands-on clinical training in the surgical management of various types of cancers, including breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, thoracic cancer, head and neck cancer, and others
  • Surgical Procedures: You would gain expertise in performing complex surgical procedures related to cancer treatment, including tumor removal, lymph node dissection, reconstructive surgery, and palliative surgery
  • Multidisciplinary Care: You would work closely with other specialists, such as medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists, to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary cancer care to patients
  • Patient Evaluation: You would be responsible for evaluating cancer patients, staging their diseases, and determining the most appropriate surgical treatment plans
  • Research and Education: As a Senior Resident, you may participate in research projects related to surgical oncology and contribute to medical education by teaching and mentoring junior residents and medical students
  • Inpatient and Outpatient Care: You would provide pre-operative and post-operative care to surgical oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Tumor Board Participation: You would participate in tumor board meetings, where a team of specialists discusses and determines the best treatment approach for complex cancer cases
