II. JOB PURPOSE
To provide & ensure direct or indirect accurate medical attention to all cases needing anaesthesia before any surgical procedure. To provide high quality Pre-anaesthesia, anaesthesia and Post-operative anaesthesia care in the hospital.
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
- Supervision of pre-operative assessment of patients for elective surgery and identification of high-risk patients.
- Pre-operative counseling and informed consent of patient's family/relative of all high risk cases.
- Administer and supervision of anesthesia of all high risk/difficult procedures.
- Planning of OR list for elective cases in liaison with the surgical team.
- Management of all post-operative complications.
- Post-operative round/follow up of all cases including pain management.
- Meeting with the families of patients to keep them updated on the patient's condition.
- Filling out all paperwork involved in each process.
- Teamwork with nurses, technical staff, other doctors and any medical students in the workplace.
- To keep updated with latest research & treatment techniques in the field of Anesthesia.
- To attend emergencies as per institution's protocol and to ensure the department is suitably equipped at all times.
- To supervise & train all nursing/technical assistants of the department.
- To ensure cost effectiveness of the operation of the department.
- To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.

MBBS, MD Anesthesia
Experience
