Job Description

Provide comprehensive medical care to paediatric patients under the supervision of attending physicians.
Perform physical examinations, diagnose medical conditions, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
Supervise and guide junior residents, interns, and medical students in their daily clinical duties.
Assist in training, evaluation, and professional development of junior staff.
Conduct regular hospital rounds, assess patients, review results, and discuss treatment plans with the healthcare team.
Coordinate and communicate patient care plans with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
Perform or assist in medical procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, suturing, and bedside procedures while ensuring adherence to safety and sterile protocols.
Maintain accurate and updated medical records including history, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, preventive care, medication adherence, and post-discharge instructions.
Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
Facilitate continuity of care by coordinating follow-up appointments, referrals, and discharge planning.
Stay updated on current medical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and advancements in paediatrics.
Participate in research activities, conferences, and medical education programs.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and service delivery.
Engage in CME activities, maintain licensure, and pursue continuous professional development.
