Senior Resident - Obs & Gynae

Key Responsibilities:

Patient / Customer Care

• Ensure proper attention and care to patients and their attendants
• Be proactive in planning and anticipating patient needs
• Provide expert consultation and manage all Obs & Gynae-related cases

Job Knowledge

• Stay updated with the latest research, advancements, and techniques in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Process Orientation / Documentation

• Conduct and supervise all tests and procedures related to the department
• Generate and document operation notes and discharge summaries
• Ensure OT rooms and wards are equipped for effective patient care
• Supervise nursing, paramedical, and non-medical staff to uphold discipline and care standards
• Recommend appropriate medical consumables and equipment for procurement
• Maintain compliance with the hospital's Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Be fully aware of and participate in the hospital's Disaster Management Programme (DMP)
• Comply with all service quality, environmental, and occupational health policies
• Adhere to patient safety protocols at all times

People Orientation

• Coordinate with teams to help develop new facilities and services
• Work closely with the Head of Department on:
• Infrastructure and maintenance issues
• Patient complaint resolution
• Participate in all regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs

Cost & Revenue

• Ensure optimal use of resources by self and subordinates to improve efficiency

• Maintain a professional appearance and punctuality
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
