JD  - Investment Research Support

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Research:
    • Conduct detailed research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across various sectors and countries, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, real estate, private equity, and sustainability.
    • Prepare investment memorandums, sector reports, and company profiles to support deal teams in the investment decision-making process.
    • Evaluate financial statements, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Market & Country Intelligence:
    • Analyze macroeconomic, regulatory, and political developments in niche and emerging markets, with emphasis on the above-mentioned sectors.
    • Monitor and report on sector-specific trends, risks, and opportunities, especially in infrastructure, energy transition, sustainable investing, and real estate markets.
    • Develop country and sector intelligence briefs for internal stakeholders.
  • Financial Research and analysis:
    • Build detailed financial model with revenue/cost drivers and valuation.
    • Create in-depth operational and financial benchmarking for select sectors.
    • Build trading and transaction comps to arrive at appropriate valuation multiple for target companies using Capital IQ.
  • Support for Deal Teams:
    • Collaborate closely with deal teams to provide timely and actionable insights.
    • Support due diligence processes, including data collection, validation, and analysis.
    • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for investment committees and senior management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Liaise with external consultants, industry experts, and data providers to gather relevant information.
    • Build and maintain knowledge repositories for sectors and countries covered.
    • Work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders located in different time zones and from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in investment research, consulting, or financial analysis, preferably with exposure to asset management or private equity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing infrastructure, energy (including renewables), real estate, private equity, and sustainability sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and autonomy
