- Evaluate patients and determine suitability for radiation therapy
- Formulate radiation treatment plans in consultation with senior consultants
- Perform-Simulation (CT Simulation), Target volume delineation (GTV, CTV, PTV), Organs at risk (OAR) contouring.
- Review and approve treatment plans (IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, 3DCRT)
- Monitor patients during treatment and manage radiation-related toxicities
- Conduct follow-ups and assess treatment response.
- Work closely with Medical Physicists for plan optimization
- Ensure accurate dose prescription and fractionation
- Verify treatment setup and imaging before delivery (IGRT protocols)
- Ensure compliance with treatment timelines and protocols
- Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and public (AERB compliance)
- Obtain informed consent explaining risks, benefits, and alternatives
- Manage acute radiation reactions and emergencies.
- Maintain high standards of patient communication and empathy.
Qualifications
Education: MBBS, MD/DNB Radiation Oncology with KMC Registration is Mandatory
Experience: A min of 2 years post MD/DNB is required. Female Candidate is preferred.
