Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Senior Data Testing Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in
data testing to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, identifying discrepancies, and implementing robust data testing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement data testing strategies aligned with organizational standards
- Perform end-to-end data validation, including test planning, execution, and defect management
- Design and execute test cases and test scenarios to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify data quality issues and anomalies
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Investigate root causes of data issues and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and maintain test documentation, reports, and metrics
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards
- Implement and optimize test automation frameworks for data validation
- Monitor and improve data testing processes for better efficiency and reliability
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Conduct risk assessment and mitigation related to data quality
Required Skills (Mandatory)
- Strong experience in Data Testing
- Knowledge of data validation techniques and methodologies
- Experience with SQL for data validation and analysis
- Understanding of ETL testing / data pipeline testing
- Familiarity with data quality tools and automation frameworks
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with test automation tools
- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
