Senior Quality Control (QC) Chemist Edible Oil Industry
Location: Vadodara
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control (QC) / Quality Assurance (QA) Chemist to oversee quality control activities, ensure product quality and safety, and comply with internal, customer, and legal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare test solutions, compounds, and reagents for analysis and coordinate test procedures.
- Conduct testing of oil samples at various process stages, including incoming, in-process, and finished goods.
- Analyze bulk chemicals such as Caustic Lye, Sulphuric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Coal, etc.
- Perform quality testing of packaging materials.
- Test water samples from utility sources, including RO Plant, Boiler, and ETP.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Kosher, and Halal certification requirements.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments such as Spectrophotometers and Gas Chromatographs (GC).
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain a basic awareness of Quality, Food Safety, and Industrial Safety best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field (advanced education is a plus).
- Experience in the FMCG industry, preferably in edible oil manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using scientific equipment and computers for data analysis.
- Strong presentation, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
