Role Overview

India Direct is seeking an experienced QC Auditor to perform on-site quality audits, inspections, and process verifications at supplier manufacturing facilities supporting Defence & Aerospace programs.

This is a hands-on, shop-floorfocused role, responsible for verifying that manufacturing processes, inspections, and documentation comply with AS9100, customer requirements, and approved drawings/specifications.

The QC Auditor acts as the eyes and ears of India Direct on the production floor, ensuring that quality is controlled during manufacturing, not only at final inspection.

Role Orientation Shop Floor & Process Audit

This role requires a candidate who:

• Is comfortable working inside factories and production areas
• Understands manufacturing processes and inspection methods
• Can challenge suppliers professionally and factually
• Verifies actual practice vs documented procedure

This is not an office-based or documentation-only audit role.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing preferred

Professional Experience

• 36+ years experience in QC / Quality Auditing / Inspection
• Experience in Defence and/or Aerospace manufacturing environments
• Practical exposure to AS9100 requirements
• Strong shop-floor and supplier-facing experience

Mandatory Technical Knowledge

• Engineering drawings and GD&T
• Manufacturing processes:
• CNC Machining
• Sheet Metal fabrication
• Castings (advantage)
• Plastic molding (advantage)
• In-process inspection and control concepts
• AS9102 (FAI) audit-level understanding
• NCR handling and objective evidence collection
• Basic understanding of metrology and inspection systems

Important HR Filtering Note

This role requires real shop-floor audit experience in Defence/Aerospace manufacturing environments.

Candidates without hands-on supplier audit or in-process inspection exposure should not be considered.
