Senior QA Engineer — Fintech Collections & Recovery Platform

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior QA Engineer to own quality for a complex debt collections and recovery platform spanning account onboarding, delinquency management, PTP negotiation, settlements, write-offs, and legal recovery. This is a domain-heavy role — you'll validate business logic (interest accruals, penalties, settlement calculations), AI-driven collection recommendations, and integrations across core banking, payment gateways, credit bureaus, and communication channels (SMS/WhatsApp/Email). You'll also build and scale automation across UI, API, and database layers, and support performance and compliance testing for a regulated fintech environment.

What You'll Do

• Validate end-to-end collections lifecycle: onboarding → delinquency → PTP → settlement → write-off → legal recovery
• Test collection strategies by DPD, risk score, segmentation, and behavioral analytics across retail loans, credit cards, BNPL, mortgages, and SME lending
• Build and maintain automation frameworks (Selenium/Playwright, API via Postman/Rest Assured)
• Validate REST/GraphQL/event-driven APIs and integrations (core banking, payment gateways, credit bureaus, CRM)
• Perform SQL-based backend validation and data pipeline/ETL testing
• Validate AI-powered collection recommendations for consistency and explainability
• Conduct performance/load testing using JMeter (or Gatling/k6)
• Support compliance testing (PCI-DSS, GDPR) and security validation (RBAC, encryption, audit trails)
• Own regression testing and release sign-off, collaborating with product and engineering

Must-Haves

• 3–5 years QA experience, with BFSI/FinTech/Lending/Collections background strongly preferred
• Strong manual testing on complex, multi-step financial workflows
• Hands-on automation (Selenium/Playwright) across UI, API, and DB
• API testing experience (Postman/REST Assured)
• SQL for backend/data validation
• CI/CD hands-on experience (Jenkins or equivalent)
• Performance testing experience (JMeter or similar)
• Understanding of DPD buckets, collection strategies, settlement/recovery workflows

Good to Have

• Cypress, Appium
• Exposure to GraphQL/event-driven API testing
• Cloud/microservices testing (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka)
• AI/ML model validation experience
• Compliance testing exposure (PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC 2)
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail
