Quality Assurance Automation Engineer:

As a Test Automation Engineer, Automation Engineer will be responsible for automated testing processes for all layers (unit, component, integration, API, performance, load, user-interface, object, regression, and data quality) taking into consideration pipeline integrations.

Job Description

Experience with designing, building, and supporting test automation framework, with expertise working on automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Python, Postman, SoapUI and JMeter.

Develops automation framework/test suite that uses non-user interface (UI) components like Soap API, RESTful API, and web services like the end user.

Experience building scalable test solutions through the identification, implementation, and maintenance of test automation frameworks for Web applications, APIs, Reports and Data layers.

Expertise in cross browser automation testing

Experience in working with cloud-based applications in AWS and Azure, for example.

Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability.

Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for defect fixes.

Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.

Advocate appropriate level of product quality.

Perform testing on releases pre-production and post-production; review test results and certify/approve changes.

Keep up to date of development technology, testing tools and business domain.

Working understanding of SQL databases and ability to write SQL statements to add/retrieve data (Query Analyzer)

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computers related field

6+ years of experience with QA Automation/Performance and/or application development

Solid understanding of database technologies

Solid understanding of QA tools including automation and load testing

Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle

Experience in writing and running SQL queries

Experience in creating and executing Automation Test suites

Experience in navigating across cross-functional teams

Effective verbal and written communications are critical

Familiar with Agile / SCRUM / Waterfall methodologies
