We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who thinks in systems, takes ownership of quality, and knows how to turn ambiguity into reliable, measurable test coverage. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a manual testing role or a narrow bug-finding position. Depending on the solution area, you may own the quality strategy for a product, platform capability, or major feature set from requirements and test planning through automation, validation, and release readiness.
Role
- Build and maintain automated test suites across web, mobile, API, integration, and workflow automation layers.
- Implement end-to-end tests that validate critical user journeys, business processes, and client-facing workflows.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation and release confidence.
- Build regression test coverage that grows with the product and platform.
- Select, maintain, and improve testing frameworks, test data strategies, and QA infrastructure.
- Develop testing approaches for AI-generated outputs, including accuracy, consistency, relevance, source handling, and safety.
- Build evaluation datasets, test cases, and repeatable validation methods for AI-enabled systems.
- Work with AI engineers, platform engineers, and solution architects to define quality thresholds and monitoring expectations.
- Identify edge cases, failure modes, hallucination risks, prompt injection risks, and workflow breakdowns in AI-assisted products.
- Define and document QA processes, release standards, and quality expectations for the team.
- Conduct exploratory testing for new features, integrations, automations, and client releases.
- Triage and document bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected behavior, severity, and business impact.
- Track quality metrics and report on test coverage, defect trends, release readiness, and recurring risk areas.
Qualifications
Required
- 4+ years of QA, SDET, or quality engineering experience with a focus on test automation.
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Detox, Selenium, or similar.
- Experience testing APIs, backend services, integrations, and service-based architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as TypeScript, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate ambiguous requirements into testable scenarios.
- Active, practical use of AI tools in your QA, testing, or engineering workflow.
Preferred
- Experience testing AI-powered, ML-driven, workflow automation, or agentic software products.
- Background testing business-critical SaaS, platform, or enterprise workflow products.
- Familiarity with mobile testing for React Native, iOS, or Android.
- Experience with performance, load, accessibility, security, or reliability testing.
- Experience building QA processes from scratch in a startup, consulting, or fast-moving product environment.
- Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architecture, RBAC, row-level security, auditability, and AI-related security concerns.
