Primary Title (standardized): Senior QA Engineer (Automation & Manual)
Join Dreamcast as a Senior Quality Analyst to lead test strategy and execution for missioncritical products. This onsite role in India combines handson automation engineering with deep manual testing expertise to ensure highquality releases in Agile delivery cycles.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated test suites and frameworks for web and mobile using Selenium/Cypress and TestNG/Pytest to ensure repeatable, reliable test coverage.
- Own endtoend test strategy: requirements analysis, test planning, manual exploratory testing, automation uplift, regression, and release validation.
- Create and execute REST API test cases, validate data integrity with SQL queries, and collaborate with backend teams to isolate defects.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI), monitor results, and triage failures with development teams to accelerate remediation.
- Mentor junior testers, enforce QA best practices, and drive quality metrics (test coverage, pass rate, defect leakage) to continuously improve delivery quality.
- Participate actively in Agile ritualssprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectivesto ensure testability and timely delivery.
Skills & Qualifications
MustHave
- Proven experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver or Cypress
- Strong programming skills in Java or Python
- Handson experience with TestNG/Pytest and writing maintainable test frameworks
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and validating with SQL
- Familiarity with Jira for test management and defect tracking
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and integrating tests into CI/CD
Preferred
- Knowledge of BDD tools (Cucumber) and writing Gherkin scenarios
- Performance or load testing experience (JMeter, Gatling)
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and containerised test runs
Qualifications & Logistics
- Minimum: 5 years of overall QA experience with combined manual and automation responsibilities
- Location: Onsite, India (candidates must be able to work from the assigned office)
