The objective of the organisation is to build Public Digital Infrastructure for Banking using blockchain and other emerging technologies leveraging the network of members to enable high volume and cost- effective financial transactions.
IBDIC is looking for a passionate Senior Test Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both manual and automation testing, with the ability to design robust testing strategies and frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role requires hands-on expertise in automation frameworks, API testing, performance testing, and database validation, along with the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.
- Conduct API testing and automation using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Perform performance and load testing using JMeter and analyze system performance metrics.
- Execute database validation and backend testing using SQL queries.
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, TestRail, or similar defect tracking tools.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to ensure requirements are testable and clearly defined.
- Design or enhance automation frameworks and testing strategies to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, BDD feature files, automation scripts, and test reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies
Must Have:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software testing with both manual and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
- Experience working with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Cucumber.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and automation using Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with performance testing using JMeter.
- Strong knowledge of database testing and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and DOM.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Perform end-to-end testing of Trade Finance modules (LC, BG, Collections, Remittances), ensuring compliance with banking regulations and validating complex financial workflows and transactions.
