The objective of the organisation is to build Public Digital Infrastructure for Banking using blockchain and other emerging technologies leveraging the network of members to enable high volume and cost- effective financial transactions.
IBDIC is looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to be part of our fast-paced technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java-based enterprise application development and will play a key role in designing and developing scalable microservices-based solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java-based applications.
- Develop enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA frameworks.
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices-based architectures for distributed systems.
- Apply design patterns and best coding practices to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
- Utilize Maven or Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
- Ensure high-quality code standards through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to software development best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and software issues across application layers.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support application data requirements.
- Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for faster and reliable deployments.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to existing systems.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical support and knowledge sharing within the team.
Must Have:
- 8+ years of experience in software development using Java (Java 11 or above).
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture.
- Strong understanding and practical application of design patterns and clean coding principles.
- Proficiency in containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Experience with Kafka and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle for build automation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
