Role Summary
We're looking for our first dedicated QA Automation Engineer to build and own our automated testing practice from the ground up.
You'll design and implement a robust automated test suite for our React (Remix) application and backend APIs, covering regression, smoke, and integration testing. We ship fast, so automation is critical.
This is a hands-on builder role in a seed-stage startup. You won't just execute test cases, you'll help shape our quality strategy.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end automated tests using Playwright
- Build regression and smoke test suites for our React (Remix) frontend
- Automate API testing for backend services
- Validate AI-powered endpoints (e.g. image-based responses and structured outputs)
- Define and improve testing processes in collaboration with engineering
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify edge cases and proactively improve quality standards
- Work closely with the CTO to shape and evolve the test strategy
Qualifications
- Strong experience in QA automation (5+ years preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (or similar modern E2E frameworks)
- Experience testing modern JavaScript frontends (React preferred)
- Solid understanding of API testing and REST-based services
- Experience working in fast-moving startup environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset
- Comfortable testing systems involving AI/ML outputs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience testing PostgreSQL-backed systems
- Experience with CI/CD automation
- Experience in B2B SaaS products
