Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking a skilled Senior Python Middleware Developer AI Agent

Enablement with 5 to 8 years of experience. In this role, you will play a critical part in

designing and implementing high-performance middleware components that connect

front-end applications with backend services, AI/ML models, and databases. You will

work on building scalable microservices, enabling seamless integration with AI agents,

and ensuring optimal performance in enterprise-scale environments.

Responsibilities

Design and develop middleware services to bridge front-end systems, backend

services, AI/ML models, and data sources.

Build and manage scalable microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI,

Flask, or Django.

Develop APIs and orchestration layers to process, transform, and route data

efficiently.

Integrate AI agents, inference endpoints, and third-party APIs into middleware

pipelines.

Ensure middleware reliability, low latency, and performance optimization.

Manage inter-service communication via REST, gRPC, WebSockets, or messaging

systems like Kafka.

Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and containerized

deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).

Maintain high-quality documentation and coding standards for reusable, scalable

solutions.

Qualifications

58 years of experience in Python programming with strong middleware and API

development expertise.

Proficient in FastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.

Hands-on experience in middleware concerns: logging, error handling, request

validation, and security.

Strong understanding of RESTful architecture, API gateway design, and

authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).

Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp) and event-driven

systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Hands-on experience with Docker and working knowledge of Kubernetes.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable deployments.

Knowledge of AI/ML model serving and integration pipelines (preferred).

Nice to Have

Experience with LLM-based AI agents, LangChain, or vector databases.

Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms or workflow engines (e.g., Airflow,

Temporal).
