Lead the execution of medium size to large and moderately complex projects and ensure that all related activities are

performed in accordance with company procedures, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and

environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

Main Accountabilities

Project leadership Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach and oversee project

hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal

and external resources to accomplish all project goals.

Project planning and

scheduling

Develop comprehensive project plans in collaboration with the Project Controls

department, encompassing scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.

Project execution and control Manage all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy

policies and best practices. This includes monitoring and controlling progress,

resources, and financials.

Financial performance and risk

management

Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost,

expenses and cash flow.

Identify, qualify, quantify and manage risks, and ensure that all opportunities are

identified and pursued.

Contract, claims and

procurement management

Ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in

accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements. Coordinate

with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procure all required services,

materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Support

Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes.

Stakeholder engagement Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and

effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Health, safety and environment

(HSE)

Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and

environmental policies.

Project processes and tools Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's project management processes and

effectively utilize the designated tools and technologies to manage projects

efficiently. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices/ lessons

learned aligned with Hitachi Energy's methodologies.

Mentorship and team

development

Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance, feedback, and support,

fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance. Encourage a

culture of continuous learning and collaboration to achieve project and personal

goals effectively.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

[ 18+] years of project management experience with a proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to

completion.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward successful project

outcomes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project statuses to stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt to

changing project requirements.

Excellent time management and organizational skills, being capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines

effectively.
