Role/Job Title: Senior Production Engineer Core Banking (CBS)
Function/ Department: Information Technology
Location: Navi Mumbai Airoli Processing Centre (Gigaplex Office)
Job Summary: The Senior Production Engineer will manage and support Core Banking applications, primarily TCS BaNCS, ensuring high availability and smooth operations in a 24x7 banking environment. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues, manage releases, and improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end production support for Core Banking applications, integrations, and mobile platforms.
- Handle TCS BaNCS CBS with strong focus on Liabilities / Payments modules.
- Deliver L1 & L2 support, including EOD/BOD operations.
- Monitor production systems, manage alerts, and proactively resolve issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and escalate critical incidents.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external system providers.
- Manage code migration, release management, and change management activities.
- Prepare and maintain production support documentation and recovery procedures.
- Support application implementation, deployment, upgrades, and testing (Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Performance, Penetration).
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong Retail & Corporate Banking functional knowledge
- Hands-on experience with TCS BaNCS or other Core Banking products
- Mandatory expertise in CBS Liabilities / Payments Module
- Technical skills: PL/SQL, COBOL, UNIX, Java
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automation tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment.
Education Qualification: Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Experience
- 510 years in the Banking domain
- Minimum 3 years in Core Banking implementation / production support
