Gresham is a global financial services technology company specialising in enterprise data automation. We help financial institutions ensure that their operational, regulatory and management data is complete, accurate, timely and fully auditable — particularly within complex environments where data is distributed across multiple systems.

Our solutions automate data controls, reconciliations, workflows and exception management, enabling clients to reduce operational risk, strengthen data governance and enhance confidence in reporting across highly regulated environments. Serving both buy-side and sell-side organisations worldwide, Gresham partners with clients to deliver trusted, transparent and resilient data operations.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Owner to join our dynamic Product team, reporting to EDM Platform India Product Head. In this crucial role, you will lead the design, implementation, and configuration of sophisticated and intricate EDM solutions, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

You will be part of complex projects from inception to completion, oversee them, and maintain modules to ensure smooth functionality. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and exceptional communication and product management skills.

Join us to drive the success of our award-winning EDM within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the vision and strategic direction for the EDM platform aligned with business goals. Focus on building scalable capabilities across data ingestion, ETL processing, and data distribution.
  • Data Modelling & Requirements: Understanding complex financial data requirements, designing and maintaining data models that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Data Quality & Data Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of the multiple data domains including ESG, Security Master, Party Master, Price Master, and Ratings from data ingestion to data consumption, ensuring data quality, lineage tracking, and effective change management.
  • Develop and maintain database assets—tables, views, stored procedures, and functions—that underpin product workflows, transformations, and integration patterns.
  • Define and document data models, workflow specifications, mapping logic, validation rules, and ingestion patterns across key domains including security, issuer, pricing, and related datasets.
  • Build and refine matching, mastering, and data-quality logic that strengthens accuracy, consistency, and adherence to regulatory and market standards.
  • Validate product functionality through structured unit and integration testing, ensuring alignment with functional requirements and technical design.
  • Assess and enhance existing product workflows; recommend improvements that elevate performance, maintainability, and overall data quality.
  • Troubleshoot complex data, workflow, and configuration issues to maintain product stability and reduce operational friction.
  • Support release cycles by contributing to release readiness, validation, issue resolution, and updates to runbooks and operational documentation.
  • Produce and maintain core product artifacts including Solution Design Documents, Implementation Runbooks, configuration guides, and workflow specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineering, QA, and UX to ensure shared understanding and smooth execution across all phases of the PDLC.
  • Establish and monitor success metrics, providing insights and recommendations that guide product evolution, implementation efficiency, and user experience.
  • Mentor team members, promoting best practices, innovation, and high standards across product development and solution delivery.

Job Requirements

  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience configuring and deploying EDM or equivalent data management platforms, with strong domain knowledge across financial data and capital markets.
  • Strong technical foundation in software development and platform architecture, with deep proficiency in SQL and database design.
  • Proven ability to shape and deliver product strategies through close partnerships with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and QA teams.
  • Expertise in agile product development practices and experience using tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence across the full PDLC/SDLC.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory and market data domains including ESG, Security Master, Party Master, Price Master, and Ratings.
  • Relevant certifications in data management, cloud technologies, or EDM-related platforms are highly valued.
  • Comfortable collaborating with UX teams to influence the design and visualization of new product capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across geographies, managing competing priorities and delivering under tight timelines.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Solid foundation in data governance and quality frameworks, including experience with key sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and SIX.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality product capabilities.
  • Proficiency in writing clear User Stories, Use Cases, and acceptance criteria that drive effective product development.
  • A collaborative, product-minded approach with a focus on innovation, customer value, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong client-facing capabilities, with experience delivering product features and ensuring successful adoption and satisfaction.
