About the Role

This is a zero-to-one role. You will be a founding member of the Affordable Commerce team, responsible for building a high-frequency, value-driven commerce experience integrated directly into our UPI ecosystem. Your mandate: define the product from discovery to checkout for the value-conscious Indian consumer segment.

What You'll Build (The Mission)

• Product Strategy & GTM: Define the end-to-end roadmap for Affordable Commerce – from product discovery and catalogue design to checkout and post-purchase. Lead go-to-market, achieve product-market fit with value-seeking consumers, and own the P&L for a vertical built to scale from zero to millions of monthly transactions.
• Affordability & Checkout Innovation: Build native BNPL and EMI-on-UPI options into the commerce experience – enabling cardless, no-cost installment purchases that reduce cart abandonment, lift AOV, and make aspirational products accessible to consumers without credit cards.
• Merchant & Catalogue Platform: Build the supply side – merchant onboarding, catalogue curation, and integration APIs that power a value-driven product selection. Design for seamless seller integration and white-label affordability solutions that drive merchant adoption.
• Data-Driven Growth: Own the North Star metrics: Conversion Rate, AOV, Repeat Purchase Rate, and cart-to-checkout completion. Run continuous experimentation to build a self-reinforcing commerce flywheel.
• Credit-Commerce Flywheel: Design cross-sell journeys where UPI payments, lending products, and commerce reinforce each other – leveraging 20M+ existing users to drive commerce adoption without incremental acquisition cost.

Who You Are

• 5–7 years in Product Management at high-growth B2C startups, preferably in E-commerce or Fintech.
• Must-Have: Zero-to-one experience – you have built a product, feature set, or vertical from scratch and taken it to measurable scale.
• Proficient in SQL, product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude), and comfortable with funnel analysis, cohort tracking, and A/B experimentation.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct user research and translate qualitative insights into product priorities.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-speed environments with minimal structure. Able to make 80/20 decisions and ship fast.
• Nice-to-Have: Prior experience in Value Commerce, Social Commerce, or deal-driven platforms (e.g., Meesho, DealShare, Shopsy).
• Nice-to-Have: Exposure to BNPL, EMI-on-UPI, or checkout financing products – either as a builder or as a merchant-side integrator.
