Job Description

Join the Lending Solutions Product team and help drive innovation in loan booking and servicing platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver products that meet customer needs and business objectives. Be based in Mumbai at Nirlon Knowledge Park, where your expertise shapes agile delivery and product quality.

As a Lending Senior Product Associate in The Lending team in Wealth Management Solutions, you will support the product development team in innovating new product offerings and managing the product lifecycle. You will support end-to-end product delivery-from discovery and requirements through backlog management, testing, and release-partnering closely with Technology and QA/UAT teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing strategies and vision for the Booking & Servicing product area in Lending, including loan booking workflow and platform modernization.
  2. Support discovery efforts and research using design thinking approaches to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
  3. Help maintain and develop a product backlog that supports the overall strategic roadmap for the product.
  4. Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning aligned to the strategic roadmap, and participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  5. Assist in product testing and release management strategy.
  6. Support the product owner and senior team members in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
  7. Facilitate collaboration and communication within the scrum team and with other departments, particularly those involved in risk management and compliance.
  8. Act as a point of contact for product-related queries and updates.
  9. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance productivity and product quality.
  10. Utilize design thinking methodologies to help de-risk strategies and product investments by validating assumptions early and iterating based on user feedback.

  11. Learn and applyAI-enabled product management approaches(e.g., synthesizing feedback, drafting requirements, improving backlog hygiene) in line with applicable firm policies and controls.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  1. Graduate with 5+ years of experience in Banking / Financial Services or a related field.
  2. Experience working on technology-enabled products in a cross-functional environment.
  3. Strategic and analytical thinker with a drive towards execution and results.

  4. Understanding of product strategy and working knowledge of agile delivery and product roadmap development (backlog refinement, writing user stories, sprint execution).
  5. Good analytical and problem-structuring skills comfortable using data to support prioritization, decision-making and business transformation.

  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills ability to translate between business users and technology teams.

  7. General market and product knowledge, with an interest in industry trends.

  8. Curiosity and continuous-improvement mindset willingness to learn and apply design thinking/continuous discovery approaches, and tolearn and useAI-enabled tools andtechniquesto support product discovery, requirements definition, and delivery execution.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  1. Influencing skills to manage a variety of stakeholders from different functions.

  2. Team player who proactively shares knowledge and information within and outside the function and can manage other team members.

  3. Experience with lending workflows (loan booking and servicing), credit underwriting, or front-to-back operational processes.
