Job Title: Electronics Procurement Engineer
Experience: 3 to 6 Years
Location: Chandkheda, AHMEDABAD

Reports To: Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Lead
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for electronic components, semiconductors, PCBs, connectors, sensors, and electromechanical parts.
- Request, analyse, and negotiate quotations (RFQs) to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Conduct market research to track price trends, lead times, and component availability.
- Manage purchase orders (POs), follow up with suppliers, and ensure on-time deliveries.
Engineering Coordination
- Collaborate with R&D/Design Engineering teams to understand component specifications and BOM requirements.
- Suggest alternate/equivalent parts in cases of shortages, EOL, or cost savings.
- Work with engineering and QA teams for component evaluations, first article approvals (FAI), and supplier technical discussions.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Monitor component lead times, forecast demand, and plan procurement accordingly.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives through negotiations, vendor consolidation, and value engineering.
- Work with stores/warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all components meet required standards (RoHS/REACH compliance, certifications, quality documents).
- Maintain accurate procurement records, BOM updates, and supplier data.
- Support audits and internal quality procedures related to procurement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in electronics procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, datasheets, and BOM structures.
- Experience with procurement tools/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, ERPNext, etc.).
- Good negotiation skills and vendor management capabilities.
- Knowledge of global supply chain trends and component availability.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
